Indians farm team pitcher Randy Newsom is offering the opportunity to buy a stake of 4% of all his future earnings for $50,000 total, at $20 a share. I always wondered why athletes weren’t investment opportunities like this. I suppose in a way they are, just for sponsors and teams that sign athletes to insane long term contracts. update: he sold all the shares. amazing.
the new room design site from IKEA is fabulous in its concept, as well as the way that it juxtaposes frustrating parts of the day in a hurried way between rooms to draw attention to its “you need a quiet space” tagline. brilliant execution.
