Wanting more after the concert
bijan:
The link didn’t actually work but it made me think that someone should figure out a way to bring fans together after the show and share all of this stuff. I’d also include set lists (with links to the actual songs w/imeem or something), videos from fans, photos from flickr, tweets and blog posts etc.
Maybe something like this already exists?
If so I’d love to use it.
Because I’m still...

is everybody turning bearish on the success of ads, or just the way they are currently offered? I was trying to buy some advertorial space the other day, and they gave it to me for free in exchange for banners (which I didn’t want). I’m starting to think that in most websites that sell ads, banners are the only thing they think they can monetize, so they look...

help? what do i do with it?
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I love that I can scrobble play data from many sources to last.fm as an aggregator, but I’m not sure I know what last.fm is “for” anymore, either.
That’s actually an issue about which I’m becoming increasingly concerned, across a...

Michael Jackson's Neverland Auction →
This is just fascinating - facing bankruptcy, MJ is auctioning off all sorts of memorabilia from his Neverland Mansion/theme park. The thing that strikes me is the amount of things on here that attempt to equate Michael to some other great - Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, several kings, Peter Pan. I can’t tell if it is hubris or some sort of desperation to be somebody of importance.

Pretty interesting way to see the news - I always wondered why online news layouts are still so similar to print. When I read the paper, that layout works for a format that almost covers my entire desk. To assume the same layout works for my browser, a 17” view, would be incorrect.
This is somewhat old news, but I can’t stop watching. Jack White is a musical tour de force.
Digital Overload Is Frying Our Brains →
I can relate - for me it is not so much digital overload as input vs. output overload - I have really been working on limiting my input and maximizing my output lately. I am a packrat in the sense that an iPod was perfect for me because I could have a large part of my music collection at my fingertips. However, with the ability to recall that at any moment, I am more given to listening to music...

The Damnwells - One Last Century →
The Damnwells’ last record Air Stereo was one of my favorite records of 2006 - and this morning I wake up to find that Alex Dezen is giving the new record away. Quite a start to this morning.
Disclaimer - its the old record for email swap, and Paste is facilitating, so theres a quick unsubscribe involved.
I was just wanting to look through Willie Nelson albums from the 70’s on iTunes, so I loaded up his artist page and selected to sort by release date. It took me FIVE PAGES to slog through his albums, compilations, and singles since 2005. Does anyone else think this is absolutely phenomenal? There are twenty items per page, which means that Willie has released or been a part of ~100 albums...
