If Obama is going to increase taxes on a small, wealthy segment of Americans, it should be obvious that this plan will receive overwhelming support. I imagine that if he tried to pass a bill to get the British to pay off the deficit, it would receive 100% of public support. Most people want someone else to foot the bill and fix the problem.
