I got a catalog from Weir’s Furniture, where I purchased a couch last summer, in the mail today. It was addressed to me, or the current resident of my apartment.
By addressing it like this, Weir’s admits a few things:
1. They don’t care who lives here, they are sending this catalog.
2. They really don’t even care if I get it, they just want to send a catalog somewhere.
3. They are admitting to spamming me, even if I am the person who does receive it.
Just made me think.
