I am amazed that it took someone this long to make a joke out of the Rooney Rule. Companies (or NFL teams) should not be forced to interview anyone based on race, religion, creed, height, or anything else other than job performance, and should always be able to go after the best available candidate. Whether or not that is Mike Shanahan has yet to be decided.
